
Harvey's career began as a comedian. Harvey began his career as a comedian in the 80s. He was host of Showtime at the Apollo, and The Steve Harvey Show in The WB. In the following years, after appearing in The Kings of Comedy Tour, the show was recast as The Original Kings of Comedy. The last stand-up comedy show he performed was on in 2012. Harvey hosts each of Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud and has been in the role since the year 2010. Harvey also hosts Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young, as well as Steve Harvey's Funderdome. He is an author and has published four books, which includes his best-selling Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, which was published in the month of March in 2009. Harvey created Steve Harvey Global, an entertainment company which houses his production business East 112 and various other ventures. Harvey founded Family Feud in Africa and made a bet with Anthem Sports and Entertainment in the HDNet purchase. The couple and their wife Marjorie are the founders of The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation which is a non-profit organization that focuses on improving the education of youth. Harvey has been awarded seven Daytime Emmy Awards, two Marconi Award winners, and fourteen NAACP Image Award Winners in various categories.
